The announcements came out this week. Finalists in the 2013 San Francisco 48 Hour Film Project in the categories of Audience Choice and the Jury Awards were announced yesterday.
In addition, we have the results now for finalists in the very special category, Best Use of Required Character.
This year, all competitors were required to include a character, “Matthew or Marilyn Perifano, a teacher.” We asked the real-life Matthew Perifano to take a look and see who made best use of the character in their film. These were the top choices:
- May-December (Johanna Mattox as Marilyn Perifano) from It Donned On Me
- Pickup Artist (Sinclair Swan as Matty P. the Cool Bear with Sunglasses) from Chinese Takeout
- Who Are You? (Matthew Lavin as Professor Perifano) from Roth Rind Productions
Come out Sunday night to the Awards and Highlights Show to find out who wins the award and to see these three great new short films. Advance tickets can be found here.
